Exploration phase
Comparing all countries requirements and track down common use cases and differences
Translating higher-level requirements into practical tasks, user processes and UX corner cases
Annotating open points that needed deeper analysis or to be discussed with legal representatives
Existing Italian user flows were used as a basis to which implement changes required by all other countries legislation and user experience improvements. Although simple in paper, this required quite an important effort, since most up-to-date flows were scattered among different files and mediums.
To improve user experience and align to industry standards, benchmarking has been carried out to analyze major competitors.
Design phase
Once all the relevant data was collected, user flows were designed for each country (Spain, France, Portugal) while keeping in mind legislation differences.
Common flows were designed first, then listing all differences and use cases depending on each country.
A very methodical organization and attention to wireframe’s details were ensured in order to:
Validation
Validation was done through extensive meetings to share designs; since they affected multiple countries, meetings involved people from different nationalities.
Validation involved:
Support was also granted after validation for last-minute requests.
What I learnt
By the end of this project I was better in managing complex situations, saturated of information, while working in synchrony with the team. Adopting a robust wireframing system which ensured maximum intelligibility and scalability was one important skill I mastered through this project.
